In a surprise move at this afternoon’s meeting of East Cambridgeshire District Council’s Asset Development Committee, councillors agreed unanimously to abandon their earlier plans to sell off for development land gifted to the council by Standens as public open space. Excellent news – but why didn’t they just get the decision right the first time?
