Cambridge Council for Voluntary Service is asking local voluntary groups what stops people getting vaccinations if they’d like them.
For some, it may be transport, child care, or not being able to book online. For others, it may be anxiety, lack of information, or physical accessibility. CCVS are particularly keen to hear from those whose voices are seldom heard. This information will be helpful in addressing health inequalities in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
CCVS are asking voluntary organisations, local groups, and community representatives to complete this survey on behalf of their communities. They will then feed back to those running the vaccination programme locally.
Anyone who needs help with the survey, would prefer a telephone interview, or has questions is welcome to get in touch with CCVS.
Dear Lorna, well I want my booster but yet again when trying to book I have been offered Newmarket, Peterborough or
Kings Lynn. As I don’t drive and as all my friends in the Wentworth area have been offered Ely or Doddington for their jabs (including my husband), I’m a bit confused as to why the vaccine service thinks I shouldn’t be allowed a jab locally. I’m mentioning this to you because I have no idea who my community representative is so they are not likely to ask my experiences.
plus my research to find out why I couldn’t have a local jab I was met with NHS and GP attitudes that basically said I had no right to ask.
Sorry to hear that, Lorna. I’ve made enquiries with the Clinical Commissioning Group.
