Where should the Council make more space for walking & cycling, for physical distancing?
CycleStreets, a not-for-profit social enterprise based in Cambridge, has created an interactive map for residents to suggest where safer provision for cyclists and pedestrians is needed. You can add your own idea for your village or a nearby village or town, or upvote an existing idea.
I’ll be encouraging the Council to consider these suggestions, as well as the results of its own recent bus, cycling, and walking surveys.

It would be good if the path between Little Downham and Ely was a bit more user friendly. Widening and making it smoother would make it a lot safer for everyone:)
Agree absolutely! We really need to link our villages to Ely better and more safely for cyclists and pedestrians.
I agree with Freya, it would be fantastic if we could have a safer path from Little Downham to Ely. It feels so unsafe at the moment when walking or cycling down there, let alone with children too.
I agree, it is quite scary cycling into fast moving traffic on the way down the pavement from Little Downham to Ely. Could it be widened?
This may be out of area but a cycle path alongside the A10 to Cambridge would make it safer for cyclists and drivers, and avoid queues building causing tailbacks on the road.
