The Acting Police & Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire & Peterborough is asking for residents’ views on a proposal for an increase in the police share of Council Tax of £1.25 per month (at Band D).

Absolutely not, I haven’t been out since March when I was furloughed and then made redundant in July…..I and many others have had no reason to call the police…..burglaries are down, violent crime is down….yes, domestic abuse is up but not to warrant this increase….
As an ex special constable I was very surprised how much work is under taken by the police which goes unseen by the general public . The offices were always under staffed keeping us all safe doing things most of us could or would not do most of the time on there own putting therm selves at risk to help others. So yes more then happy to pay the increase required.
