It’s due to deliver water to its first homes in the late 2030s so we’ll probably be able to take a view then!

1to 2 billion pounds to provide water to two hundred and fifty thousand homes!!!! Seems very expensive, Should they fix / renew pipelines and reduce water wastage….

I hope horse rider access will be considered as well as walkers and cyclists. Horse riders are being left out of many new schemes even though horse riding is a valuable way to take exercise and enjoy the outdoors. Off road provision is essential for rider safety and driver sanity. Please make sure equestrians are included in any new scheme.

There is a public consultation by Anglian Water starting imminently, so do take part and tell them this. This scheme won’t be decided by any of the local councils. It’s a ‘Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project’ which will be determined by the Planning Inspectorate on behalf of the Secretary of State. The ‘host’ councils of Cambridgeshire County Council and Fenland District Council will be asked to submit comments at three different stages – Relevant Representations, Local Impact Report, and Written Representations. You can make your views known to one or both of the local councils when they start putting these reports together. And you can get involved directly and register to make representations directly to the planning inspectors when the time comes.
